Every Wednesday morning,
all trainees at KJS attend Educational & Professional
Studies (EPS) sessions together in our Training
Centre.
Our EPS programme is
wide ranging, with sessions on topics as diverse
as Accelerated Learning, Behaviour Management
and First Aid.
The 4 KJS ASTs have
a substantial input into the EPS programme and
the emphasis is very much on active learning!
In 2003 we introduced
an ICT module into our Wednesday morning sessions.
This gives the trainees 1 hour access to a fully
qualified ICT trainer to enable them to produce
a portfolio of ICT teaching resources and to practise
the ICT Skills Test.
We have also introduced
an ICT certificate to verify the standard reached
in this module.
