King James’s is proud of its uniform and students are expected to arrive and leave school every day in the full uniform. Details of the Year 7-11 uniform, Sixth Form uniform and PE kit and equipment are given on the linked pages.
Parents who are unclear about any aspect of the uniform should contact their child´s Learning Manager or Pastoral Officer for further advice before purchase.
King James’s uniform can be bought from:
Broadbank and Empson
Both boys and girls should wear outdoor clothing that is in keeping with school uniform. Coats that protect against the variable British weather should be worn over the blazer, not under. We discourage expensive fashion jackets that are not practical.
Coats and outdoor clothing should not be worn inside the school building.
In order to protect their ordinary school clothing, it is essential that all students wear an apron when they are taking part in design activities, and we strongly recommend that these are also used in science lessons. Suitable aprons may be purchased at the uniform stockists.
It is parents’ responsibility to ensure that students have the necessary equipment and clothing for all activities, including waterproofs, effective sun-screening and hats when necessary.
