Who killed
the Caretaker?
A dead caretaker and an array of well-motivated,
potential murderers but who was the killer?
The Murder Mystery Evening, hosted
by King James’s
School Parent Teacher Association in association
with the school’s Drama Department, performed
at the school earlier this month, drew a highly appreciative
audience of sleuths to solve the whodunit – “Who
Killed the Caretaker”?
The participating audience enjoyed
a display of superb acting skills directed by Jo
Davies & supported
by Mike Bindon, Head of Drama. The troupe of talented
actors comprised Charles Hanks, Emma Penman, Steven
Pennock, Katie Pritchard, Dan Renton, Victoria Rhodes,
Joel Rimmer and Sara Taylor.
A tempting range of refreshments
and a well-stocked bar kept the audience fuelled
in their hunt for the murderer and accomplice who
were finally revealed to be Gerald Clarkson (Drama
Teacher) & Rosemary
Fieldmouse (Art Teacher).
There were prizes judged & awarded by Mike Bindon
for “Best Comedy Answer”, “Best
Children’s Team” and “Murder Mystery
Quiz Winners”. Overall super sleuths for the
evening were “The Magnifiers” comprising
Fay Beese & her daughter Robyn, Lydia Bell, Lucy
Chandler, Kimberley & Fred Greenaway.
A huge thank you to all those
who helped out or came to the event which raised
a total of over £450 for the Parent Teacher Association funds and which
showcased the versatility and range of acting talent
within the school.
A wonderful example of pupils,
teachers & parents
working in association for the good of the school.
