TDA Taster Courses
King James's School has hosted 7 successful TDA Taster Conferences (Jan 2003, Oct 2004, Jan 2006, Feb 2007, Feb 2008, Feb 2009 & Jan 2010).

The Conferences provided a 'real' school experience for would-be teachers to find out whether teaching really is the career for them and delegate feedback from previous Conferences has been extremely positive in this respect. During the course, delegates experienced 'mini' lessons, observed lessons in the subject of their choice (where possible), had presentations on various aspects of school life, received career path advice and had the opportunity to speak with teachers, NQTs, trainees and students.
