Jewellery, make-up, hairstyles & valuable items
Jewellery |
- The
wearing of jewellery is discouraged throughout the
school.
- Students
who have peirced ears may wear a discreet stud or sleeper
in each ear.
- Nose, tongue studs & other similar forms of
facial jewellery are not permitted.
- Parents should seek
advice from school before allowing their children to
embark on any form of piercing.
- A fine chain & falt
ring may be worn, but this must be in keeping with
the school uniform.
- Students should not wear bracelets,
wrist chains or bands.

Make-up |
The wearing of make-up is discouraged
throughout the school, however
the wearing of discreet
make-up is permitted.
|
Hairstyles |
- Extremes in hairstyle
are to be avoided.
- Students
should not have hair cut shorter than grade 3 or
have patterns shaved in their hair.
- Hair should
not be dyed any non-natural colours, i.e. red, blue,
purple, green, etc.

Mobile phones/
i-pods |
- Once in school, mobile phones should
be turned off and not taken out unless they are being
used as part of a lesson or organised school activity.
- i-pods/music systems should not be worn
on the school grounds at any time during the school day.
- If phones or i-pods are seen or being
used on the school grounds they will be removed from
the student and kept safe at Student Services Reception
until parents come to collect them.

Valuable
items |
We discourage students from bringing
valuable items or large sums of money to school.
In
the event of loss, we will accept
no responsibility
for replacement.
The school is not liable for any loss
of jewellery or other valuables.
