WORK EXPERIENCE LUNCH 2007

Tuesday 3 July

The Work Experience lunch enabled Year 10 students to show their gratitude to local employers for their efforts in providing work experience placements for King James's students in May.

Forty representatives from local businesses were welcomed by Linda Howard and Lucy Hazelton (KJS Careers Department) and then enjoyed a buffet lunch, followed by a short presentation on the latest developments in Enterprise education at King James's, given by Mr Richard Wood (KJS Enterprise Co-ordinator).

The students were perfect hosts, serving drinks and chatting to employers about their experiences on their recent work placements. The employers were also entertained by a video produced by the students, showing them talking about the considerable benefits they gained from their 2-week work experience.
