Self-Supported Study
| Self-Supported Study |
As part of the King James’s Sixth Form commitment to developing confident, independent learners, students are expected to make effective use of their self-supported study time beyond taught lessons. Self-supported study is a vital element of success at Post-16, helping students to deepen their subject knowledge, develop essential research and study skills, and prepare for higher education and future careers. To support this process, each department has produced the guidance documents below, providing subject-specific advice, recommended resources and study activities to help students make the most of their independent learning opportunities. This reflects the Sixth Form’s emphasis on high-quality learning, individual ambition and the development of strong independent study habits.
