Student Leadership
Student Leadership
Developing leadership skills is incredibly valuable for personal growth and future success. Leadership skills help develop confident and responsible students. Taking on leadership roles within school will help students learn to motivate and guide other, solve problems and make important decisions. These experiences will help prepare students for future career pathways, whatever that may be.
King James’s School offers a range of opportunities for students to develop, practice and refine their leadership skills in a supportive environment. Each opportunity allows students to develop essential skills such as communication, listening, teamwork, critical thinking, all of which are skills highly valued by employers. In addition, leadership experiences can also help students build resilience and adaptability which are qualities that are crucial in today’s fast changing world.
We have based our leadership roles on the 5 practices of leadership; Kouzes and Posner ‘exemplary leadership model (2003)’.
